Overlapping Geese No. 1

Overlapping Geese is a multifaceted modern traditionalist design, a new interpretation of the flying geese block that is also a variation of traditional chevron and herringbone designs, where the ends of what would have been parallelograms or rectangles respectively have been cut at different angles for a much different effect.

This version brings together some of my favorite colors – a triad of fuchsias and magentas, golden yellows, and aqua blues, that jump from one column to another, as the overlapping geese soar and dive across the design.
